The death of Harold George Arseneau, 80, of Springhill and formerly of Toronto, passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Monday, December 12, 2016. Harold was born in Springhill and was a son of the late George and Helen (Boucher) Arseneau.
Harold had worked in printing in Toronto most of his life before returning to Springhill to retire. He enjoyed hiking and the outdoors and taking time for coffee with the guys at Tim's.
Harold leaves behind his daughter, Teresa (Shane) Porter, Springhill; a son, Christopher Arseneau, Sparwood, BC; two sisters, Carolyn Douglas, Amherst and Loretta (Gwyn) Griffith, ON; a brother, Robert (Janet) Arseneau, Springhill, and a grandson, Matthew Porter.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Bernadette Arseneau and a sister, Margaret Beaton.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill (902-597-2361). Honouring Harold's wishes, there is to be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the North Street Roman Catholic Cemetery, Springhill, in the Spring.
