CORPORON, Vivian Jane – Age 85, of King Street, Yarmouth, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved “Mom”, Vivian Jane Corporon. She was a daughter of Margret “Maggie” Clairmont. Vivian was born in Little River Harbour on January 30, 1931. Our mom’s greatest love was her family, her children, to serve the Lord and elders in her community. Her favorite pastime was knitting and caring for her dogs (Maggie and Jack). She loved the ocean and long car rides. She is survived by her children, Ruth (Corneluis) Muise, Janice (Neil) Bourque, John (Patricia) Corporon, Marlene (Ron) White, Patsy (Keenan) Woo, Milton (Judy) Corporon, Angela (Peter) Collier, Darrell (Nora) Corporon, Denise Corporon, Julie Corporon, Mark (Sheila) Corporon; 24 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a brother, Fred Clairmont, Newfoundland, and longtime friend (cousin), Janet Cameron. Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Edmund Corporon; her mother, Margret “Maggie” Clairmont; a sister, Florence Boudreau; step-son, Eddie Bouwhuis (Holland); adopted daughter, Rose Emma Landry; son-in-law, Gary Surette. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. There was no visitation. A funeral mass was held at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Wedgeport on Tuesday, December 13 at 10:30 a.m., Father Albeni d’Entremont officiated. Burial was held in the parish cemetery following the funeral mass. Memorial donations may be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund.
