With great sadness, the family of the late Alton George Peterson announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the age of 71 years. Leaving to mourn with lifelong memories, his life partner of 22 years, Greta Penney; sons: Christopher (Karrie), London, ON and Mark, Owen Sound, ON; step-daughters: Denise (Terry) Bennett, Pasadena, Danielle (Greg) Webb, Gander, and Debbie (Jason) King, Ft. McMurray, AB; step-son Thomas (Carolynn LeBlanc) Penney; grandchildren: Jack and Charlie Peterson, Jillian Bennett (Reid Morgan), Adam and Rebecca Webb, Dylan and Hayley King, and the light of his life, his little buddy, great-grandson Noah; brothers: Keith (Bonnie), BC and Graham (Sharon), Pasadena; uncles: Adolf (Trudy) Penny and Keith (Josie) Penny; aunts: Jessie and Alice Penny; mother-in-law Stella Hancock; brothers-in-law: Clayton (Edith) Hancock and Lorne (Judy) Hancock, all of Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Mabel and Carl Peterson. In keeping with Alton's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Service and interment will take place at a later date. A special thank you to the Emergency staff at W.M.R. Hospital. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the S.P.C.A.
