Maurice Fitzgerald Wainwright, aged 83 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Friday, December 16th, 2016. Maurice was born on December 17th, 1932. He enjoyed his years living at Buffalo Pound Lake, taking walks with his dog Jesse, and watching the birds and deer in his yard. Maurice welcomed each of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren with joy, and loved to hold the babies. He was very devoted to his wife Rose and cared for her through her years of Multiple Sclerosis, and thought of her with much love right up until his passing. Maurice spent his last few years in Crescent Park Villa, and was very grateful for the care he received there. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Dora; wife, Rose; great-granddaughter, Jaden; and siblings: Robert, Billy, Irene, Richard, Pauline and Walter. Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his children: Irene (Jack) and their children Jack and Robert; Bob (Oksana) and their daughter Iuliia; Judy (Jim) and their children Teri (Jason) and great-grandchildren Ophelia and Erik, and Angie (Mike) and great-grandchildren Michael and Lisa; Cheryl (Jim) and their children Pam and great-grandson Landon, Alanna (Trevor), and Chris; Angela (Jason) and their sons Matthew and Andrew; and Kristen (Clint) and their son Josh; siblings: Sally, Pat and Kathy; as well as many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 22nd, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Dave Foley will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Maurice’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
