Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, December 19, 2016, Eleanor L. White of Carbonear; formerly of Ochre Pit Cove, age 92 years. Predeceased by: son: William George; parents: Caleb and Selina Pennell; brothers: Fred, Harold, Kenneth, and William; infant brother; sisters: Ida (Wilson) Stockwood, Hazel (Eli) Milley, Sadie (John) Petten, and Florence (Joseph) Carnell; infant sisters: Sadie and Hazel. Leaving to mourn her husband of 71 years, Ralph; also a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date.
