Judith Mildred "Judy" (Montrose) Moore

MOORE (Montrose), Judith Mildred “Judy” – 71, Debert, formerly of Westchester, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016, at Cobequid Community Health Centre, Lower Sackville. Born in Middleboro, she was a daughter of the late Ernie Montrose and Etta (Wilson) Montrose-McQueen. Judy married the love of her life, Charles Moore, on June 1, 1963, and they enjoyed over 53 years of marriage. They lived in La Scie, Newfoundland, before moving to Westchester in 1968. Recently, they moved to Debert to be closer to their family and enjoy their retirement years. Judy had a personality that made everyone love her and she would help anyone in need in any way she could. She spent over 40 years as a volunteer with Westchester Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary and she also enjoyed her time with Red Hatters. Judy was happiest when she was fishing, camping, cooking, crafting, making Christmas wreaths and spending time with her family and many friends. She loved all her family unconditionally. Judy is survived by her loving husband, Charles; children, Dennis (Debbie) Moore, Debert; Howie (Katrina) Moore, St. Stephen, New Brunswick; Tamara (Jeff) Totten, Debert; grandchildren, Kyle, Darcy, Brittany, Maddie, Paisley, Scarlett Judith; great grandson, Landon; siblings, Tom (Chris) Montrose, Antigonish; Mable (Pearce) Osborne, Debert; Harvie (Darlene) Montrose, Westchester; Bonnie (Basil) Osborne, Brampton, Ontario; Steve (Mildred) Montrose, Badger, Newfoundland; Eddie (Tamara) Montrose, Mississauga, Ontario; Bruce (Marlene) Montrose, Moncton, New Brunswick; Doug Montrose, Amherst; brother-in-law, Bill Priebe, Ontario; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Mary Priebe. All are welcome to attend a celebration of Judy’s life that will be held from 3-6 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 106, 1252 Masstown Road, Debert. Private interment in Eagle Hill Cemetery, Westchester. If so desired, donations in Judy’s memory to Westchester Volunteer Fire Department are welcomed.
