Peacefully surrounded by her family at Whisperwood Villa on Monday, January 2, 2017 of Rita Catherine Sigsworth in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Newman James Sigsworth. Dear mother of Wilma Sigsworth, Arlene (David) Lipton, Anita (Ken) Kelly, Cathy (Wayne) Young, Keith (Alma) Sigsworth, Bill (Debbie) Sigsworth, Frank (Val) Sigsworth, and Denise Sigsworth (deceased). Proud grandmother of Sonya Lipton-MacCallum (Matt), Taylor Lipton (Stephanie), Jade Flemming (Tony), Ryan Kelly (Jennifer), Rachelle Jay (Cory), Jean-Marc Paille, Patrick Sigsworth, Kyle Sigsworth, Lindsey Sigsworth, Dylan Sigsworth (Melanie Moreland), Britanny Ollerenshaw (Ian), Kalem Sigsworth and great grandmother of Bates Ling, Levi Jay, Luca MacCallum, Violet MacCallum, Payton Anna Kelly, Cate Kelly and James Ollerenshaw. She was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
