Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care on Saturday, December 31, 2016, of David "Doc" Rankin of Bethel, age 62 Yrs. Beloved husband of Sonia Lee Jackson and loving father of Katie Rankin, Melissa Rankin ( Randy Myers ) and Andrew Rankin. David is also survived by his Grandchildren - Madison Rankin Myers, Kamryn Rankin Myers and Theresa Rankin; brother - Donnie Rankin; mother of David's children - Debbie Bernard; faithful dog - Buddy; numerous cousins and patrons of Starlite Custom Auto Body. He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Annie (nee Gill) Rankin. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford. A public Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Stratford Chapel - Hillsboro Funeral Home at 4 p.m. No visitation by personal request. Interment will take place at a later date. A celebration of Life will follow the service at Winsloe Lions Club, 14 Campbell Rd., Winsloe from 6 - 10 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Funeral Expense Fund would be appreciated.
