With great sadness we announce the passing of Leona Holland on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Leona was surrounded by family and friends whom loved her very much. Leona was born in Paddockwood, SK on August 13, 1936 and grew up in the Christopher Lake area. Leona met and married the love of her life Henry Holland. They had two children Marie and Cindy. Leona was a tremendously hard worker, she worked at numerous jobs before working at the job that made her the proudest, the Prince Albert Forest Nursery. She worked there for 27 years and retired in 1996. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her daughter Cindy Gulka and her son-in-law Bruce Ratcliffe; her grandchildren: Stacy Gulka, Amanda (Cory) Diebel, Michelle (Ashley) Ziegeman, Scott (Jen) Holland, Evan Gulka; her great-grandchildren Kayn, Chase, Dylan, Linden and Bayleigh Diebel; Kaylyn and Brylee Ziegeman; Eve Holland; her siblings Ethel Gee, Barry Robertson, Jim Robertson, Mary Fietz, Vicky (Bev) Gee and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Holland; her mother and father Austin and Martha Robertson; her daughter Marie Ratcliffe; her son-in-law Dave Gulka; her brother Dave Robertson; her sister-in-law Eunice Robertson; her brothers-in-law Ivan Gee and Tiny Vandale; her nieces Terry Robertson, Betty Fietz and Shirley Robertson. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 6 from River Park Funeral Home. Pastor Iris Kristjánsdóttir will officiate. Interment will take place in the Garden of Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, which was very dear to Leona’s heart. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Colette Harnett, Funeral Director 306-764-2727
