It is with great sadness that the family of the late Anne Broomfield announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre after her lengthy battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the age of 69 years. She was predeceased by her husband Francis Broomfield; parents Martin and Mary Anne Bridgeman; and brothers Michael and Gerard Bridgeman. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memoires her spouse Stewart Stacey; son Gary (Melanie) of Gatineau, Quebec; brothers: Bill (Bernadette) of Pickering, Ontario, Pat (Sharlene) of Ajax, Ontario; sisters: Margaret (Dennis Hynes) of St. Brendan's, NL, Stella (Ronald Byrne) of St. Brendan's, NL and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral service was held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. officiated by Father William Hearn, with interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations in Anne's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
