Cassandra Marion Conrad - 84, of Kentville, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Minnie (Mailman) Wheelock. She attended Middleton High School, where she played hockey. She was employed for 32 years with Sears, both in Middleton and Kentville. Marion greatly enjoyed her time with the Rummoli Club. She is survived by a son, John (Mary) Conrad, Amherst; a brother, John (Judith) Wheelock, Truro; a step-grandson, Robert Cameron, Amherst; a step-great granddaughter, Falon Cameron (Caleb Hicks), Moncton, NB; a niece, Suzanne (Mark) Mosher, Bridgewater; a nephew, Andrew (Carolyn) Wheelock, Dartmouth. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Beverly. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Thelma McLeod officiating. Burial will take place in the Nictaux Cemetery Annapolis County. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Hospice Foundation or the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation.
