Stanley Keller, Merritt Island

Keller, Stanley N. age 84, of Merritt Island, passed peacefully away December 22, 2016. Stanley was born in Easton, PA. Graduated Rollins College w/ BAED and Master of Education. Retired SMSGT in US Airforce for 20 years. Received US Airforce Commendation SMSGT medal – 69170. Received gold medal in Vietnam – Nov. 28/69. Bronze Star medal for Meritorious Service June 15, 1970. He was a 32nd degree Mason, Shriner and Brevard Lodge member. He attained the honour of being a Scottish Rite Mason for 50 years. Served for over 44 years as an Elder at MIPC . Worked with HRS, FL State. Received 22 yr. service award. Predeceased by his darling daughter, Faye Margaret (April 29, 2014), his mother, Gladys (nee: Dietz), father Clyde Keller, brothers Roy and Raymond. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Dorcas (nee: Keeping) of 61 years, sister Arlene Heimbach (Richard), brothers Earl (Maria), Elwood (Darlene). Sister’s in law Sadie Hamilton, Clarissa Stevenson (Charles) and Shirley Burgess and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements entrusted to Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the Merritt Island Presbyterian Church (600 S. Tropical Trail, Merritt Island) on January 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to The Shriner’s Children’s Hospital (12502 USF Pine Drive Tampa, FL 33612) or to a charity of your choice.
