William Joseph Gill was born in Poland, September 1, 1920. In 1930, along with his family, they left Poland to seek their fortunes in Canada. Bill was enlisted in the Armed Forces and served WW2 in France, Belgium, and Holland. In 1945 he was wounded and reported missing, but later recovered in Holland. In 1946, Bill met and married Mary Mindiuk and were blessed with three children. The Gill family homesteaded, resided, and farmed in the Paddockwood area. Bill worked hard, and played hard. He truly enjoyed bowling, as well as golfing and curling. We wish to extend sincere thanks to Derek and family at the Bowling Alley for all the good care to its seniors, so that they can enjoy the friendships made and joy of bowling.
