It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt - Mora Kathleen MacDonald, age 83, on January 7, 2017, at home surrounded by her family, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. After attending Normal College to become a teacher, she taught at the Birch Grove School. At age 21 she married the love of her life, Vernon, with whom she was married for 62 years. Together, they raised four children who were the center of their universe.

She was an excellent baker and was known for her delicious shortbread cookies and oatcakes.
