The death occurred, surrounded by his family, at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 of D. Hartley Leard, aged 71, beloved husband of Judy (nee Costain). Hartley was born in O’Leary on August 10, 1945, son of the late Elmira Crossman. Cherished father to Richard (Chastity), O’Leary and Steven (Meagan), Cape Wolfe. Loving grandfather to Skylar, Jacob and Kylie. Brother to Donnie (Irma) Crossman, Cape Wolfe; Faye (Thane) Frizzell, Springfield West, Velda Beaman, Ontario. Brother in law to Heath Costain, Atlanta, GA; Heather Leonard, Burlington, ON and Linda (Bob) Moss, Athens, GA. Predeceased by his mother, sisters Eva Phillips, Iva Butcher, brothers Arnold, Elvin, Emerson and Basil. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours on Saturday from 3-6 p.m. No funeral service by personal request.
