The death occurred peacefully at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 of Catherine Christina Leger of Cape Wolfe in her 103rd year, wife of the late Arthur Leger. Born in Bloomfield on January 16, 1914, daughter of the late John and Bridget (O’Meara) Saunders. Cherished mother to Peter (Beverly), Hamilton, ON; John, Mississauga, ON; Doreen (Orlie) Costain, St Lawrence; James (Brenda), Dartmouth, NS; Clair (Colleen) Woodstock. Loving grandmother to David (Helena) Leger, Sharon Costain (Jason), Shawn Costain (Paula), Susan Binkley, Melissa (Steven) Robichauld, Stacey Leger; Ryan (Melissa) Leger, Jason Leger, Kory (Shalyn) Leger and Tristan Leger. Great grandmother to Connor, Ben and Jacob Costain, Samuel Robichauld, Jonas and Sebastain Binkley, Hailey, Ryan, Elizabeth and Georgia Leger. Sister in law to Beulah Saunders, Bloomfield, Joyce Saunders, Charlottetown and special Aunt to Dot Shaw, Cape Wolfe. Catherine was predeceased by her parents, husband Arthur (1997), son Roger Arthur (1978), sisters Gladys, Marion and brothers, Steven, Cecil, William, John, Leo, Peter, along with three brothers in infancy. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Friday evening 6-8 p.m. and Saturday until 10 a.m. then to St Mark`s Roman Catholic Church, Burton, Lot 7 for funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the Parish Cemetery.
