It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Philip Alexander Jobes, age 66, of Creighton SK. Originally from Florence, NS. Philip passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK with his wife, Shirley by his side on Saturday, January 7th, 2017.
Philip was employed with Devco for 30 years. Upon his retirement, he moved to Manitoba where he was employed with Hudbay Minerals until the time of his death. Philip enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Born on April 29, 1950 in North Sydney, Philip was the son of the late John T. and Agnes (Baxter). Philip will forever be loved and missed by: his wife, Shirley (Billard) (SK); son, James (Denise); daughter, Catherine; son, Philip Jr. (Heather) (SK), and daughter, Maureen. Grandchildren: James, Alexa (SK), Ethan, and Logan (SK). Brothers; Greg (Judy), Jackie (Debbie), and Ralph, sisters; Catherine, Pauline, and Patsy (Dave) Porter; and many nieces and nephews.
Nova Scotia service and burial for Philip, will be held at a later date.
