The death occurred peacefully at The Garden Home, Charlottetown, on Friday, January 13, 2017, of Eric Joseph “Buck” Doucette, of Rustico, aged 88. Eric was the beloved husband of Anita “Ta” (Peters) for 62 years. He was the proud father of Noel (Geralyn), Charlottetown, Randy (Isabel), Charlottetown, Faye Rodocker (Edgar), Calgary, Darren “Red” (Louise), Rustico, and Norman (Claire), Summerside; Grampy to nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Eric is also survived by his brother, Louis (Elaine); sisters, Pauline Gallant, Camilla Arsenault (Joe) and Connie Lott (Robyn); brothers-in-law, Alfred “Pookie” Peters, and sisters-in-law, Gloria Primeau and Zeta Peters. He was predeceased by his parents, Jovite and Mary Doucette; siblings, Evelyn Gallant (Edgar), Rita (Maurice) and Art. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Cymbria Lions Club will hold a prayer service at the funeral home at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
