New Glasgow – Helen Ann (Ripoli) Comeau, formerly of New Glasgow passed away January 15, 2017 at Ivey’s Terrace Nursing Home in Trenton.
Born September 22, 1922 in Halifax, she was the daughter of Michael and Hazel Ripoli.
In earlier years, she helped her husband Bev start and operate the automobile dealership Anchor Motors. She enjoyed her time curling and attending card club with her friends. She was a wonderful cook and loved to feed everyone she could. Helen enjoyed her trips to Florida and was happiest while swimming at the beach.
She will be remembered for her happy disposition and winning smile which stayed with her until the very end. Helen was a loyal wife, a kind and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and we will miss her greatly.
She is survived by son, Michael, New Glasgow; daughter, Susan (John) Rawding, Kings Head; son, Marc (Shauna), Point 44; grandchildren: Jason (Shannon) MacLeod, Kaylin (Ryan) Leil, Jarett (Joanna) Comeau and five great grandchildren; sisters: Joan Veinot, Hatchet Lake; and Loretta Donovan, Halifax; her nephew, Peter Flemming, Dartmouth.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Bev, sister Mickey and special friend Linda McInnis.
Many thanks to her caregivers Alma and Vi and to the staff at Ivey’s Terrace for their wonderful care, support and compassion, you are all very special people.
There will be no visitation or service by request. Spring burial in Abercrombie Cemetery.
