It is with great sadness that the family of the late Anton Josef Fromm "Tony" announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Tony was a founding member of the Stephenville Rotary Club and was a prominent member of the Stephenville Business Community for many years. He will be sadly missed by his son Erich (Faith) Fromm of Stephenville; his daughter Ursula Fromm of Brampton, Ontario; his two grandchildren Erich (Vanessa) Fromm Jr. in Kippens and Sonja (David) Green of Fort McMurray; two great-grandchildren Janelle Fromm in Kippens and Tristan Green in Fort McMurray. Also leaving to mourn are his two brothers Max (Joan) Fromm in Stephenville, Werner (Angela) Fromm in Germany; three sisters Rosina (Heinz) Dackerman, Maria Speidal and Erica Fromm all in Germany and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothea Fromm. The funeral service will take place from St. Stephen's Parish on West Street in Stephenville on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date. There will be a gathering for family and friends at the Knights of Columbus Building after Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bay St. George Sick Kids Foundation.
