MUISE, Dennis John – age 90 of Springhaven, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away on January 13, 2017 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on August 5, 1926 in Springhaven, he was the son of the late Bennie and Emma Muise. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Jean Scoville Smart Muise; stepchildren, Theresa and Dr Bernard Schelew, Halifax and Beverly Greene, Florida; step grandchildren, Farrah Greene, Florida, Joel Pitman, Yarmouth, Jeremy and Michelle Pitman, Brooklyn; sisters, Anna Hubbard, Springhaven, Angie Goodwin, Centerville, Hilda LeBlanc, Oshawa Ont, Ardilla (Cecil) Dulong, Quebec, and Pauline (Mike), Yarmouth and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Dennis was predeceased by his sisters, Evelyn Breau, Florence Campbell, Lillian Doucette, Marjorie McSwain, Norma Hubbard and Geraldine LeBlanc; brothers, Joseph and Norman Muise. Dennis was a quiet peaceful man who loved to stay close to home. He was also gifted in many ways from rebuilding engines, welding, plumbing etc. He owned his own business and built homes in Ontario working with people of different nationalities. Later Dennis was an instructor in the N.W.T, building homes along with the Inuit. Arrangements were under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium in Yarmouth. There was no visitation or funeral by his request. Donations in memory may be made to the SPCA.
