Campbell, Joseph James “Joe”- 91, Truro Heights, passed away suddenly January 17, 2017 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, he was the son of the late Peter Roy and Harriett (Wynn) Campbell.
Joe loved all the sports and was an avid participant. He served overseas during WWII, a member of the Royal Canadian Black Watch and Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26, Truro. Upon returning home he worked as had his father and grandfather with CN Rail and VIA and later with the Commissionaires. He was well loved and will be missed by his family, friends and everyone he met.
He is survived by daughters, Jacqueline (Hubert) Roy, Debert, Janine Hooper, Truro Heights; granddaughter, Olivia Hooper, Truro Heights; daughter, Lynn Roberts, Bridgewater; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Diane Marie (Morrison); sister, Freda Theakston; grandson, Anthony Hamilton and son-in-law, Peter Roberts.
