Peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital the passing of Lester White age 83 of Wood Islands, devoted husband of 57 years to Mary (MacLeod) White occurred on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 with his family by his side. Born in Wood Islands November 1, 1933, he was the son of the late Howard and Annie (Grant) White. Lester was a Naval Veteran. Besides his devoted wife Mary he is survived by his loving children, Wendy White (Shane), Howard (Rosalee), Blayne (Sandra); twelve cherished grandchildren, Jennifer, Timothy, Emily, Allyson, Lillian, Benjamin, Bethany, Keir, Kuri, Cam, Lacey and Alex. Nine great grandchildren; sister Nan Ross; numerous nieces and nephews. Lester was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Stanley, Robert, Oren, Buddy, Annie, Hazel and Lillian. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Thursday, January 19th from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 20th at 3 p.m. Interment to take place in the Wood Islands Cemetery in the spring.
