Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Patrick Joseph Ryan, of Middle Cove, aged 79 years. Predeceased by parents David and Gertrude. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 54 years, Mary (nee Tricco), whom he lovingly referred to as "his other arm", one daughter Karen (Chris) Staubitzer, and four sons: Gerard (Catherine), Neil (Darlene), Paul (Vivienne), and PJ (Tina); precious grandchildren: Victoria, Brett, Melanie, Grace, Liam, Erin, Peter, David, Alexandra, and Nicholas; one brother John (Marg), four sisters: Sister Marie Ryan (RSM), Peachy Molloy, Pauline Molloy, and Theresa Gosse; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and close friends, along with numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay, on Thursday, January 19th, from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Friday, January 20th, from 9 a.m. - 12 noon. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Outer Cove. Cremation and burial to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dad's memory to the Newfoundland Alzheimer's Society.
