Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, Gordon (Gump) Warford Sr, age 87 years. Predeceased by his "beautiful" wife Violet and grandson Christopher. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are his children: Dave (Gale), Judy (Bruce), Barb (Jack), Gump, Freddie (Maxine), Violet, Yvonne (Gerard); 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Vera and Joan; brothers-in-law: Fred (Shirl) and Ed; as well as a large circle of family and friends. Thank you to the staff at St. Clare's, especially the nurses of 7 west. A huge thank you to Dr. Stephen Darcy for exceptional medical attention as well as a special thank you to Reverend Gerald Taylor, Deacon. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave, Sunday, January 22, 2017, from 1 - 9 p.m. and Monday, January 23, 2017, from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Peter on the Rock, Learning Road, Shea Heights. A celebration of life reception will be held at Shea Heights Community Centre, Linegar Ave. Inurnment to take place at a later date.
