With family by her side at the Prince County Hospital on Saturday, January 21, 2017 of Mary Josephine Howatt, Westmoreland, age 82 years. Dear mother of Gordon and Paul (Kate). Loving grandmother of Justin Bambrick and Ava Beaton; Kelcey Trotman (Kevin). Survived by her sisters Jennie Matthews, Georgina Paynter (James), Margaret Newsome. Annie (Bertie) Thompson and Helen Smith (Delbert). Also survived by her sisters-in-law Miriam Harvey, Margaret “Peg” Gallant, Joan MacPhail (Douglas), Erma Dawson and brother-in-law Allison Howatt (Nancy). Mary shared an exceptionally close bond with her nieces Karen Gaudet (Chris) and KimThomson (Kenny Muttart), Diane Ellis (Rick), Donna MacKinnon (Ronald), Cathy Ellis and Carol MacDonald (Jimmy). Lovingly remembered by numerous other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Douglas 12 days previously and by her parents Murdock and Grace (Francis) Dawson, her twin sister Louise Thomson, sisters Mildred (Millie) Harvey, Blanche Carins, brothers Bennett, James and Harvey Dawson and brothers-in-law Alvin Matthews, Charles Thomson, Hillus Carins, John Yeo, Lyman Harvey, Ralph Harvey, Ralph Lowther, Richard Newsome, Roy Gallant and Sterling Thompson and nephews Dale and Scott Dawson, David Matthews and Morley Newsome.
