Hobson, Lois Ruth, 79, of Truro, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Walter Graham and Jessie Loretta (Delaney) Bartlett. Lois was a former employee of the Lewis Hat Factory, and Stanfield’s Limited Truro. She was a great lover of all cats. She is survived by her sons, Kelly (Peggy) Jeffers, Truro, Keith (Ann) Jeffers, Shubenacadie; 4 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Hobson; daughter, Kimberly Jeffers; brother, Herbert Bartlett. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, January 27, in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, with Rev. Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Reception to follow. Spring interment in the Fisher Creek Cemetery, Green Oaks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
