Raymond George Gushue, 71, passed away suddenly at home on January 27, 2017. Born January 27, 1946 in Sydney, he was the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Whalen) Gushue. Raymond is survived by his daughter, Michelle Maria (Fraser) Sutherland, Ontario; his son, Raymond Jr. (Lyndsay) Gushue, Sydney; grandchildren, Michael, Candice, Victoria, Brett, Hayley; great grandchildren, Peyton, Mason, Sawyer Michelle; brothers and sisters, Tom (Addie) Terry, Janette (the late Jack Fletcher), Marlene (John) Dixon, Kim (Albert) Harriet, Brenda (John) Aucoin and Dotti (Andrew) MacNeil. Raymond is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Patrick, David, Robert, along with his sisters, Florence Smiley, Carol Lahey, Theresa Gale, Linda Colbourne and Debbie Janes. His favourite passion was listening and playing the guitar to the old style country music. Raymond had a great love for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 2 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel with celebrant Andrew Chapman officiating. Inurnment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
