It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Brian Paul Hardy Jr., age 40, on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in North Sydney on July 10, 1976, he was the son of Brian (Marie) Hardy, North Sydney and the late Marla (MacLean) King. Brian was a carpenter by trade and worked in the construction industry. He enjoyed spending time on his computer and riding his motorcycle. Brian is survived by his father, Brian Hardy and stepmother, Marie (Bona) Hardy of North Sydney; his daughter, Olivia; one sister, Sheila, North Sydney; niece, Paige; nephew, Cole; uncles, Gordie (Lori) Hardy, Lloyd and Floyd Bona; aunts, Beatrice (Dennis) Jessome, Susan (David) LeMoine and their daughter, Tracey (Larry), and his close friend, Cy Connolly. Brian was predeceased by his mother, Marla (MacLean) King; his grandparents, Stan and Olive Hardy, John and Marjorie MacLean and Arthur and Marjorie Bona.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
