John D. B.Sc. Eng., P.Eng. MacDonald
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, February 2, 2017 of John D. MacDonald of Charlottetown. Survived by wife Amy (nee MacKenzie), son Murray, daughter Sheila MacLean P. Eng., son-in-law Keith MacLean P. Eng. and granddaughters Sharon and Kathy MacLean. Predeceased by father Captain John A. MacDonald, Master Mariner, mother Elena MacDonald (nee Hill) and sister Carol Spencer. He received his Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Nova Scotia Technical College (now DalTech) in association with Acadia University. He was a founding member of the Association of Professional Engineers PEI (now Engineers PEI) and held registration no. 3. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the funeral will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Interment later in the Peoples Cemetery. Family flowers only, if so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. No visiting hours by personal request.
