Brenda Ellen McCray – 68, Masstown, passed away peacefully February 5, 2017 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Belmont, she was the daughter of the late John and Irma (Pynn) Morrisey.
Brenda loved watching her nephews P.J. and Travis play hockey and her favorite goalie, Oliver. She enjoyed hosting get togethers with family and friends, playing cards and having lots of laughs. Mom enjoyed caring for others, making meals – she truly made everyone feel loved.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Wayne; daughter, Monique (Esben) Arnfast, Valley; beloved grandson, Oliver; sisters, Judy, Wendy (Richard), Rose, Dolly, Yvonne, Heather, Starr and Sheryl; brother, Philip; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A time of Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9 from 6-8pm with Funeral Service on Friday, February 10 at 2pm both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, Rev. Carolyn Rushton, officiating. Spring Interment in Masstown Cemetery. Donations in Brenda’s memory may be made to the Masstown United Church or to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. A special family “thank you” for the excellent care to Dr. Jeffrey Williams, Dr. Roya Murray, Dr. Karla Armsworthy and the special nurses in Medical Day Care and Palliative Care.
