Herman LeRoy "Roy"  Webb

Herman LeRoy “Roy” Webb – 92, Debert, passed away February 8, 2017 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born October 6, 1924 in Parrsboro, he was the son of the late Russell and Hattie (Gratto) Webb.
In 1943, he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineers. Roy served overseas in WWII from 1944-1946 and also served overseas with the 2nd Armoured Brigade. After returning home, Roy worked at the War Assets in Debert. He delivered the RR # 2 mail and drove school bus for many years.
Roy enjoyed farming, especially growing “Senator Dunlap” strawberries. He also enjoying doing word find puzzles and reading. Dad loved old time music and played the fiddle in the Barley Boys Band. He was an honourary life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Debert Branch # 106 and a member of the Debert United Church.
Roy is survived by his daughters, Brenda Black, Debert, Patti MacDonald (Glenn), Debert; sons, Randy (Donna), Debert, Stacy (Monica), Sarasota, Fl., Derek (Shawnn), Debert; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Roy was predeceased by his wife, Freda E. (Scott); son, Stephen, companion, Joan Reid and sister, Lois Bardell.
In keeping with his wishes, Cremation has taken place with no visitation or funeral service by request. Interment will take place in the spring in Debert Cemetery (Plains Rd.) Donations in Roy’s memory may be made to a charity of choice. A special thank you for the excellent care of our father to Dr. Don Rowe as well as to the emergency nurses and the nurses and staff of D3 Wing.
