STELLARTON – Helen Catherine Cummings, 83, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Evansville, Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Henry William and Florence Isabel (MacKay) Weeks.
Helen was proud of her role as a homemaker and the opportunity to stay home and raise her children. For a period of time she was employed with Sandy MacKay. Helen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by those she loved.
Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Cummings, Stellarton; daughters, Linda Odo, New Glasgow; Theresa (Mack) Menzes, Winston-Salem, N.C.; son, Robert Cummings, Port William; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen Robinson, Truro; brother, Bill (Dee) Weeks, Thorburn; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by granddaughter, Catherine Jane; grandson, Justin, brother, Fred Weeks.
In honour of Helen’s wishes the family will celebrate her life privately.
