It is with heavy hearts we the family announce the peaceful passing of Reuben Buckle at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, February 9, 2017, Reuben Buckle of Carbonear, age 90 years. Predeceased by, parents: Isaac and Emily; brothers: George (Clarice) and Eugene; infant brothers: Clifford and William; sister: Annie (Gus) Chubbs; great-granddaughter: Angel; great-aunts: Louise Marshall and Alice Butt. Leaving to mourn, wife: Mary; three daughters: Carol (Frank) Merrigan, Carbonear, Judy (Tony) McCarthy, Harbour Grace, and Wendy (Robert) Coulas, Carbonear; four sons: Tony (Sylvia), Winterton, Ron (Janet), Carbonear, Reuben (Shirley), St. John's, and Gregory, Carbonear; ten grandchildren: Lisa (Rodney), Liam (Cheryl), Anthony (April), Amanda, Andrew (Janine), Alanna (Hayward), Kendell (Richard), Jessica (Joel), Natasha (Justin), and Michael; four great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Isaac, Kylie, and Myla; sisters-in-law: Cecilia Button, Old Perlican and Peggy Buckle, Labrador City; nieces and nephews; also a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear.
