Predeceased by his loving wife Florence (nee Peddle) (March 2015): son George (March 2014); mother and father: Tom and Lillian (nee Gosse): brothers and sisters: Jack and John Hodder, Elva Murrin and Mary Jackson (Jerry); parents-in-law Frank and Ethel Peddle; brothers-in-law: Frank, George (Donna), Herb and Bob. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Linda Collins (Robert), Harry (Ann) (Edmonton, AB), John, Tina Ricketts (Rick), Judy (Edmonton, AB) and Bobby; grandchildren: Glen Collins (children - Michael, Stephen and Stephanie), Nicole Collins (Justin), Allan Ricketts (Shawna), Patrick and Colin Hodder; great-grandchildren: Landon and Cloe Hodder; his siblings: Francis Crews (Max), Violet Crane (Fred), Blanch Barrett (Eldred - deceased, Francis - deceased), Tom (Linda), Lillian Duke (Wally), and sister-in-law Joan Hodder; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill (Joyce - deceased) (Vermont, US), Martha (Ontario), Gordon (Sheila) (Toronto, ON), Ethel Langmead (Harry - deceased), Mary Stone (Stan - deceased) (Barrie, ON); plus numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 10 am - 12 noon, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at 11 am. Cremation to follow with burial to take place at a later date.
