The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit, Community Hospital, O’Leary on Friday, February 10, 2017 of Patricia “Pat” Mary Strang of O’Leary aged 75, wife of the late Herbert “Herbie” Strang. Born on April 11, 1941 in Sheffield, England, daughter of the late Charles and Maud (Freeman) Atkinson. Dear mother to Karen Strang, Summerside; Kevin (Sandra) Strang St. Stephens, NB; Robin Strang (Jason Shakespeare), Cornwall; Brenda (Blake) Betts, O’Leary; Amy (Blain) Buchanan, O’Leary and Beth Anne (Brent) Parks, Ottawa, ON. Loving Nana to Travis and Derek Strang, Meghan Harris, Jacob and Colin Walsh, Michael (Amanda) Strang, Samantha Bernard, Devin Dugay, Justin Buchanan, Charles and Frederick Parks. Great Nana to Elliott, Rylan, Lydia , Jacob and Emily. Dear sister to Betty (Clair) Casey, Midland, ON and sister in law to Shirley Atkinson, Cambridge, ON; Ian Strang, O’Leary, Errol Strang, Alberta; Frances (Reggie) Wallace, Elmsdale; Joan Strang, Charlottetown; Ronnie Gamble, Charlottetown; Marilyn Strang, Mill River East and Winnie Strang, Charlottetown. Predeceased by her parents, husband, brother Kenneth and sisters Barbara Basser and Joyce Davis. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel , O’Leary with visiting hours Tuesday from 1 - 2:45 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Interment later in the Cape Wolfe United Church Cemetery.
