The death occurred at the Summerset Manor on Monday February 13, 2017 of Dorothy Gallant (nee Pître), formerly of Mont Carmel at the age of 97 years. She is the daughter of late Augustin and Philomène (Minnie) Pître. Predeceased by her loving husband Augustin (Gus) Gallant, she is survived by sons and daughters Kenneth (Bertha) Summerside; Yvonne of Montreal; Leonard (Phyllis) of Summerside; Wilfred (Joan Rumson) of Summerside; Raymond (Elizabeth) of St. Nicholas; Linda (Hartland Jessome) of Regina, brother-in-laws Jean Pierre of St. Timothy; Gerard of Summerside and Cedric of Hamilton. Also survived by 13 grandchildren: Kendra, Angela, Karla, Michel, Chris, Andy, Julie, Jeffrey, Roxanne, Mindy, Mitchell, Rachelle, Pascale and 19 great-grandchildren: Hannah, Naomi, Zachary, Alex, Tara, Kenneth, Nicholas, Noah, Lauren, Beth, Aimee, Ella, Max, Eddie, Ella Mae, Emily, William, Legacy and Huxley. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville until Saturday, February 18th then to Notre Dame de Mont Carmel Church, Mont Carmel for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Visitors shall be received on Friday from 5 to 8p.m. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
