COMEAU, Anne Marie – age 67 of North Chegoggin, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away on February 13, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth on January 25, 1950 she was a daughter to the late Fred and Rose (Muise) Surette. Anne worked at Bonda Textiles before spending the remainder of her working career at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital in Housekeeping. She was known as an extremely kind and compassionate person and was a loving wife and mother. She took on the great responsibility of looking after her brother and sister after their mother passed away. In her spare time she loved music and was a gifted guitar player and singer. She was also known to be quite the card and dart player. She is survived by her loving son, Ronald Comeau (Kelly Smith), Yarmouth; step sons, Anthony “Tony” (Anna) Comeau; Alan (Celinda) Comeau, South Ohio; brothers, Edward (Patsy) Surette, Greenwood; Nelson (Eileen) Surette, Amiraults Hill; Amos (Betty) Surette, Yarmouth; Ricky Surette, Yarmouth; sister, Margaret Surette, North Chegoggin; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Anne was predeceased by her loving husband of 43 years Henry “Sonny” Comeau. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at a later date in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
