Passed away suddenly at his residence in Colliers on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017, Alonzo J. Walsh - Age 69 years. Predeceased by his parents: Patrick and Josephine Walsh; brothers: Ambrose and Philip Walsh; parents-in-law: Mike and Bride Whelan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Mike and Joyce Whelan; brothers-in-law: George and John Whelan; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Fran and Bill Kelland; sister-in-law Bernice Whelan; and nephews: Mikey, Gordon, Georgie, and Jordan Whelan. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Pat of 43 years; his son Chad and daughter-in-law Ellen; very cherished and special grandson Chad Michael; his daughter Patti Lynn and son-in-law Rod Howse; as well as two very special grandchildren: Janelle and Tyler Howse. Also, left to mourn his loss a large circle of family and friends, as well as his brothers and sisters of Iron Workers Local 764, of which he was a very proud and active member. Resting at Flaherty's Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour, with visitation to take place on Friday, February 17th from 10am - 9pm and Saturday, February 18th from 10am-12pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Colliers, on Saturday, February 18th, 2017, at 1pm.
