Catherine was the last surviving sibling of both the Miller and Steiner families, her very famous nick name from her brothers that followed her all her life was "Queenie". She is predeceased by her husband Walter (1983); parents Walter Hall Miller (1915) and Margaret Janet MacTavish (1953), both her parents had direct lineage back to Scotland. We are very pleased to let everyone know that our Mother only spent the last 14 days of her life in the hospital, otherwise she was only there when her last 3 children were born and the last child was born 1953 in the Langenburg Hospital. She was educated at St. Mary's Academy in Winnipeg. In 1934 she married Walter Steiner and farmed in the Marchwell area till 1965 when they retired and moved to Moose Jaw, she then worked at Pittsburgh Glass for 8 years. Catherine placed her family first and foremost in her life and spent whatever time she could with the various family members and lived with her two youngest daughters for the last 11 years. She loved all sports, especially curling, baseball, football and hockey and was very pleased that she was able to attend the World Curling Finals in Scotland, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany and various locations in the USA and Canada, and attended one of the LA Dodgers World Series games in 1988. The other love of her life was travelling and meeting all family members from various generations, these trips took her to Eastern Ontario, Quebec, Illinois, California and Sweden. Mom also had the pleasure of visiting the North West Territories and the Yukon and every other province in Canada. In 1986 she was able to visit the grave of her brother, Joseph MacTavish Miller at the Durnbach Cemetery in Germany, he was KIA in WWII over Germany July 25, 1944. The family would like to thank the staff at Dr. F. H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for all their care and compassion shown to our mom. Prayers will be held at the W. J.
