It is with great sadness that the family of late Elsie May Payne announce her passing on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in her 93rd year. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, children Jocelyn (Derek) Biggin, Rowena (Bill) Rice, Norma (Selby) Sooley, Colin, Bryant (Rose), Trevor (Olga), Sheila (Herman) Perry, Charlie (Janie) and David (Melina Hutchings); 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. One sister Leah Knott, brother-in-law Henry (Linda) Payne; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Payne, Gwen Slauson and Bertha Payne. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Gorman; parents Mary Ann and Norman Payne; brothers Sandy, Reginald, Leslie, Obediah, Bryant, Freeman and Ellis; sisters Hazel Parsons and Hilda Roberts. Visitation will take place from Holy Cross Anglican Church in Daniel's Harbour on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 where also the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 2 pm. with Canon Terry Rose and Rev.
