Brown, Krista Joy – 52, Truro Heights, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 16, 2017. Born in Truro, she was the daughter of Elaine Geldart and the late David Fowler. Krista loved nursing and worked for over 29 years as an LPN at the Truro Hospital. She loved camping, spending time with her family and her friends at work. She enjoyed exploring and looking at antiques. Besides her mother, she is survived by her step-mother, Shirley Fowler, Alton; special friend, Darryl Snow, Halifax; children, Jackie (David House) Reid, Windsor, Brad (Krystal Murray) Reid, Truro ; siblings, Paul (Tanya) Fowler, Brentwood, Shelley (Gar) Benvie, Truro Heights, Tracey Musgrave, Truro, Harley Rafuse, Calgary, Melvin Rafuse, Edmonton, Misty (Scott) Cooke, Brentwood, Tia (Chris) Stevens, Millbrook, Shawn (Misty) Fowler, Ryan (Laurie) Fowler, both of Truro; grandchildren, Jordan, Madison, Kylie, Tyler; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Besides her father, she was predeceased by infant sister, Deborah. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22 from 6-8 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.
