Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on Saturday, February 25, 2017. John Joseph Simmonds, age 75 years. Formally of Conche, White Bay. 4th Degree member of the K of C. Left with beautiful memories his loving wife of 55 years, Mary (Kenney); daughters Arlene Transue (Paul), Lori Hiscock (Steve); the joys of his life - his grandchildren Leah Hiscock, Liam and Madelyn Transue. Also leaving to mourn his brothers Bill (Sandra), Mike (Hilda), Kevin (Marilyn); brothers-in-law Harold Kenney and Wilfred Foley (Dianne); sisters-in-law Bernadette King (Junior), Angela Venier (Mauro), Mae Simmonds. Predeceased by his parents John and Kathleen Simmonds; brother Tony Simmonds; brother-in-law Albert Kenney. Also leaving to mourn many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Special Uncles John and Patrick Bromley and special friends Edgar and Ruth Learning, Gerald, Liz and Marg Bromley. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday and Wednesday 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from Mary Queen of the World Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, Food Bank, Mary Queen of the World Church.
