Fancy, Constance “Connie” Gladys (Hanman), Truro, passed away at the age of 96 in Shannex-Vimy Court, Truro on February 28, 2017. Although contented at Shannex, she waited for the time to be with her Lord and her husband, Don. Connie enjoyed reading, knitting and had a green thumb for all her plants, especially her African Violets. She enjoyed her drives to Cape Breton for visits. Connie was the daughter of the late Israel and Ellen (Turner) Hanman. She was born in Staffordshire, England and came to Canada at the age of twelve. She is survived by son, Harry (Deanna), Truro; daughter, Linda, Truro (formally of Antigonish); five grandchildren, Ron, Shawn, Truro, Gerald, Antigonish, Sherry and Stephen, Alberta; eight great grandchildren, Taylor, Shawndel, Trinity, Michael, Kala, Jonathon, Cindy and Marcus; one great-great grandchild, Trenton. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; son, Gerald; brothers, Charles, Harry; grandson, Kevin; son-in-law, Gerald Jones, There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Aenon Cemetery, North River. If so desired, donations in Connie’s memory may be made to Gideon Bibles or a charity of choice.
