Passed peacefully away at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, March, 2, 2017, Roy Smith of Hatchet Cove, aged 82 years. Predeceased by his wife Joan; sisters Belinda Smith and Ida Drover. Left with fond and loving memories his children Harold (Alice), Della (Dave Ivany), Michelle (Al Curtis), Roger (Kim Kelly), Kimberley (Dean White), Garrison, Tina (Rod Bushey) and Dennis (Kelly); grandchildren Danielle, Robyn, Jessica, Shane, Allison, Ashton, MacKenzie, Nathaneal, Joshua and Gavin; great-grandchildren Dominic and Devan; step-grandchildren Dayna, Tammy, Kerri, Keith and Jeremy; special family Olive, Diane and Lorraine; sisters Gloria (George), Rachel (William-deceased), Eva (Patrick), Myra (Russell) and Alice (James); brothers Eliab (Hannah Jane-deceased) and William (Frances); and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at St. Stephens Church, Hatchet Cove on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at St. Stephens Church, Hatchet Cove with interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Hatchet Cove.
