Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, March 2, 2017 of Lawrence Joseph "Larry" Young age 83 years. Born in Halifax, NS, he is the son of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Rankin) Young. Larry moved to Ontario at a young age where he spent all of his working life. Beloved husband of Marie (O’Toole) Young and dear father of Larry (Dianne) and Tom (Jennifer). Granddad of Aaron, Alanna, John, Lauren, Connor and Liam. Brother of Anna Brennan (deceased), John Young(deceased), Harold Young(deceased) (Edith), Lorraine Simon (deceased) (George), Collette Walker and Peter (Diane) Young. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A Charter Member of Burlington, Ont., Knights of Columbus Council 5073. He served as Grand Knight for two terms and Financial Secretary for 25 years. A Charter Member of 4th degree Paul F. Reding Association where he served as Faithful Navigator. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Wednesday, then transferred to St. Michael’s Church, Corran Ban for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. St. Martha's Knights of Columbus council 8348 will hold prayers at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7:10 pm.
