The death occurred peacefully, with family at his side, at Beach Grove Home, Charlottetown, on Monday, March, 6, 2017, of Alfred Gauthier, husband of Olive Gauthier (nee Gallant), of Beach Grove Home and formerly of Rusticoville, aged 85. Alfred was the loving father of Joey (JoAnn), special daughter Monica (deceased), Michael (Jacinta), Anne Marie Gallant (Brian), Robert (Tony) and John, who passed away in infancy; grandfather of Jamie (Lindsay) and Julie Ann (Dave); Samantha (Jimmy); Emily (Austin), Katelyn (Tyler) and Tyler; Amanda (Andrew) and Adam (Alyssa); and Jeremy and Laura; and great-grandfather of Tristan, Pagan, Lacey, Madisynne, Jackson, Carson, Hunter, Jack and Harrison. He is also survived by his brother, Walter Gauthier; his sister-in-law, Dot Gauthier; and numerous other sisters and brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents, Benoit and Emily (Doucette) Gauthier and six brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Thursday, March 9, 2017, from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
