Mrs. Annette Mary Myers (Burke) of Bird Cove, age 58 years, passed away at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s on Wednesday, March 1st, 2017, at 12:30 pm, after a long struggle with her health. Two double lung transplants and failing kidneys finally took its toll on Annette as she passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born on May 28th, 1958, in Flowers Cove, the fifth of 12 children of Patrick and Marie Burke, she lived in Flowers Cove before settling in Bird Cove where she lived as a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. Annette was an avid knitter and faith filled gentle soul with patience and love for all. She will be remembered fondly by many. Leaving to mourn her dedicated husband; Leon Myers; beloved son Allan; daughter-in-law Kayla, and precious grandson Mason; her loving mother Marie Alice; her brothers and sisters, nephews, and nieces, Pius (Odette), Krista (Doug), Dylan, Jenna and Kerry, Eileen (Winston), Rhonda (Earl), Jessica, Luke, and Kirby, Julia (Tony), Kyla, Emma, and Jada, Terry, Agnes (Les), Lyndon (Felicia), Genine, Kaiden, and Kyle, Patrick Jr. (Shelley), and Nigel, Maria (Wanda); brother and sisters-in-law and nephews and nieces, Catherine (Stanley), Chad (Chantal), Cole, and Caylee, Jean (Jimmy), Joan (Simon), TJ, Brandon (Brittany), Scott (Devina), Marilyn (Toby), and Braydon, Hughie (Sheila), Lionel (Denita), Della (Murray), Natalie, Alexis, and Leah, Mike (Irene), Tracey, Alyssa, Ashley, Andre (Deanna), and Michael, Bernice (Stewart), Lisa (Bernie), Sasha, Patrick, Somea, and Pierson, Geraldine (Mose), Quentin (Amanda), Kobi, Jayla, Travis (Betty), Daniel, Matthew, Benjamin, and Gino, Philomena (Larry), and Robyn, Gerard and David. Annette was predeceased by her father Patrick, sisters Bernice, and Anne, brothers Clarence, and Terrance, brother-in-law Rick LaVallee, and nephews Mario, and Damian Mahar. The family received family and friends at the Roman Catholic Church in Bird Cove on Monday, March 6th from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., from where the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial followed on Tuesday, March 7th, at 2:00 p.m. with Father John Bosco officiating.
