It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife and mother Norma Gerene O’Hara on March 11, 2017 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. She was born on September 16, 1938 in Moncton, NB. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Lirette) Goguen.

Norma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She had the biggest heart and the warmest hugs of all! She was a mother to everyone she knew! Her family and friends were her most cherished possessions.

Norma will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Larry O’Hara and her devoted daughters, Darlene (David) MacGregor; Kelly Morrison (Tom Boyce); Kim (David) Weatherbee. She will be especially missed by her grandchildren, J.D. MacGregor, Edmonton, AB; and Makayla and Harrison Weatherbee, Truro. She is also survived by sisters, Doris Collette (Albert), Moncton; Freda LeBlanc, Dieppe, NB; Lorraine MacPhee (Nelson), Riverveiw, NB; brothers, George (Germaine); Roger (Barb); Ronald (Heather), all of Moncton, NB; and Terry (Valerie), Riverveiw, NB; sister- in-law, June Gillespie, Dartmouth; brother-in-law, Roy Richards, Sheet Harbour; Bob Pettigrew, Moncton; deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Carl MacDonald; sister, Doreen Pettigrew; brother, Raymond Goguen; sister-in-law, Edna Richards; brothers-in-law, Jack (Edith) MacDonald; Joey MacDonald; Bill Gillespie; Omar LeBlanc.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro where visitation will be held 6-8 pm Monday, March 13, 2017. Funeral mass will be held 11am Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating, reception to follow. Donations may be made to the Society of St. Vincent De Paul or charity of your choice.
