The death occurred, peacefully, surrounded by his family at Community Hospital, O’Leary on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 of John Albert MacLean of West Devon, aged 73 years, beloved husband of Lillian (nee Gray). Born on May 4, 1943 in Summerside, son of the late Milton & Bertha (Laguff) MacLean. Loving father to Dwayne (Diane), West Devon; Milton (Kimberley), Canoe Cove; John (Tracey), Summerside; Glen, West Devon; Connie (Trevor) Matheson, Winsloe; Steven (Laura), Gull Lake Sask; Mary (Ronald) Gillis, Ellerslie; daughter in law Glenda, West Devon and mother in law Doris Gray, O’Leary. Grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. John is also survived by his sister Elaine (Brian) Worth, Stanhope; brothers and sisters in law Claire MacNeil (Lorna) Hardy, Huntley; Harold (Betty) Gray, Woodstock; Beverley (Larry) Dunville, New Glasgow and Earl Gray (Rhonda Harper), O’Leary. John was predeceased by his parents, brother George in infancy and father in law Wilbur Gray. Resting at Ferguson Funeral and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
